The 4th Dialogue & Peace Iftar Dinner was organized by UFUK Dialogue was held on the 30th of June 2015, at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja. The iftar dinner emphasized the importance of dialogue and peace between members of different religious and nations.
Hajiya Aisha Mohammed Buhari, the first lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was represented by the Nasarawa State governors wife; Hajiya Mairo Tanko Almakura was the mother of the day at the dinner, while His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sultan Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar who was represented was the chief host of the event. Other guests of honour at the event include Directors and Perm Secretaries from various ministries, religious and traditional rulers from different parts of Nigeria and representatives from various Embassies. More than 550 people graced us with their presence at the event.
During the program, Dialogue Awards were given to various deserving people in different categories. The awards were given to people who have worked hard to promote the message of love and tolerance in Nigeria.

Civil servant Award Category – Muhammed Badandede , MFRDUpty Comptroller General , Nigerian Immigration Service
Education Award Category – Macjohn Nwaobiala, Permanent Secretary ,Ministry of Education
Media Award Category- Mahmud Jega , Associate Director Daily Trust Newspaper
Religious Award Category
Anglican Archbishop Nicholas Okoh , Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Communion
Dr Khalid Abubakar, Secretary General of JNI
Sports Award Category – Daniel Amokachi , Assistant Manager Nigerian National Football Team
Women Award Category – Ayisha Osori , lawyer

During the event, Mr Kamil Kemanci gave a warm opening speech which encouraged dialogue and mutual understanding. Also, the wife of Nasarrawa state governor Hajiya Mairo Tanko Almakura gave a goodwill message thanking the foundation for its efforts in promoting peace and dialogue. The program ended with the annual peace and dialogue portrait, followed by a closing remark and prayer by His Eminence, Cardinal John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan.
