The art for peace solo exhibition, Tom Sunday Oeuvre organized by Ufuk Dialogue in Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Wuse II was launched on 24th January 2019 and to run through the 31st of January 2019. About 200 people attended the opening ceremony, from government institutions like the national gallery, the federal ministry of information and culture, the ministry for foreign affairs, the national commission for arts and culture to mention a few. Dignitaries from embassies, religious institutions and many private institutions also attended the opening ceremony.
In his speech, the president of Ufuk Dialogue urged everybody to embrace art and appreciate its role in bringing about peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding, respect, love and tolerance. He also emphasized that not all art promotes peace and that it can be used to promote violence. Hence declared that all people should strive to remove the effect of discriminatory or offensive art in our societies. Furthermore, he told us about the vision the vision of Ufuk Dialogue for art for Peace. The solo art exhibition tallied with the motto of Ufuk Dialogue; “Reserve in your heart a seat for everyone”, the need to open up and embrace everybody no matter the differences you have in religion, race or ethnicity and grow to understand, respect, love and tolerate each other and live together in peace and harmony.

The artist exhibited fifty art works he did over the course of his painting career using different mediums of painting ranging from oil on canvas, charcoal on paper, ink on paper to mixed mediums. The representative of the director general national gallery of art gave a good will message to show support for the artist who happens to be from the national gallery of art himself. The exhibition was declared open by the chairman, declared the ceremony open.
